MEDLAR
This fruit tree usually has
poor growth ,with height only from 3 to 5 meters.Free rarely exceeds 7 meters high and 5-6 meters wide. Cultivated for its fruits and very often as an ornamental tree.The leaves are thick, rich, dark green, glossy and leathery.
One of many benefits of the loquat tree are the aromatic (bitter almond odor), small and yellowish-white flowers that pop up like bunches on top of the branches that sprout in the spring.
The Loquat compensate you with a sizable flowering period in autumn, from October to December (depending on the variety and the earliness or not the crop area). We have to wait until April to May to collect their soft, juicy and slightly sour taste of fruits that have yellow-orange color.
