PEPINO
A beautiful fruit,with smooth golden skin and purples tripes,also called melon tree.
The Pepinos are derivedf rom Perua nd look more like melon,although are closely related το tomatoes,potatoes and eggplant.
The flesh has a pale yellow color and is quite astringent.The taste reminiscent of lemon, pineapple and melon.
The sweet fruit seeds can be eaten.
The Pepinos are rich in vitamin C, and the have also a quantity of
vitamin A.
